Phoning it in

Well today I did. I have been at this wonderful job for a year and a half and finally had to call in today. I have weird little goals like not calling in sick but after a sleepless nite I new I'd be better off spending the day alone. Now when I don't sleep I go from the bedroom to the living room. From the recliner to the floor and back to the bed again. Seemingly useless information, but wait, there's more. At 7:00 I made the call and at about 8:00 I drifted off to dream land...literally. Of all things to dream about I dreamt I was at work walking around like Linus with his blanket looking for a place to sleep. The twilight zone aspect was the highlight of this dream. My co-employees had no faces, just blank flesh. So I learned two things today, don't call in sick or you'll end up dreaming about your job (yeah it was a first for this job too), and how pleasant the work place would be if the people you are sentenced to spend your days with had no mouths. Oh, a third thing I learned. My dreams are more entertaining than daytime TV.
