Ah ha

So it occurred to me at this odd hour that I have been at this job longer than any other. Now I had been with BOP in SoCal for two years, but I quit once and got fired three times. I suppose that says a lot about me. ..and others. I remember one time at that job I had been called to the CEO's office. Someone had snitched on me for selling weed. I admitted that I had had been and then suggested that she ask the snitch how he knew. Yes, I had been selling to him. She kept me on. I believe that in an earlier post I mentioned how she bailed me out of jail(hold on, I'll look it up) ((couldn't find it))
I believe it involved a police chase of sorts. Well it was in Jan.of 1990 that my manager, her husband, picked me up for work. Marvin Gaye was on the radio. Too Busy Thinkin' 'Bout My Baby. He fired me later that day for not catching his mistakes. That was my job, but just like putting a gun to the head of an interloper it takes an action to cause a reaction. He was right to have fired me, not for any professional matter but for what he was surmising. He was wrong with his summation. Yes his wife was mine for the taking but he was a friend. The world is full of low lifes like Chris Garcia, but I'm not one. As with Manson,I am your mirror. I'm reflecting what you're projecting. If what you see is ugly alter yourself.

I lost where I was going with this one so I hope it took you somewhere. I must say that in comparison this job sucks sewer sludge. Once I'm gone I will tell you more about it ahd the small minded people I am forced to interact with.

Sympathy for the Devil Part III

Every year about tax time I do this little sympathy for the devil bit. If you look back for the past two years Feb. post you will run across them. Well I did my taxes as the law dictates, and I must say that I am very unhappy. My dreams of getting Trippin Tees up and running this year are temporarily dashed, and other things on the back burner will have to simmer a little longer. But to put a smile on the face of a CPA at the IRS at the bottom of the form where it ask for your occupation I put Uncle Sams Whore.

A question was raised in my head as I did them this year. Charitable deductions? Coincidentally I had just made a donation to a local organization that I knew would result in immediate benefits to those in need. My first reaction as I filled out my 1040 was "I should have gotten a receipt then next years wont suck so bad". I never ask for one because I never saw a need for it. I don't know if it is a dollar for dollar deduction, but I suppose any bit would help. But what is the point of charity? Is it to gain fiscally? In my mind, no. It is sad that the only reason many give to various organizations is both for ego and economic reasons. Why not do it just to make yourself and someone else smile. I'm glad I didn't get a receipt.

The end of an era

Tonite will be the airing of last episode of American Chopper. It is really unfortunate, for this show has not only introduced the world to custom motorcycles, but also various charities which many may have never known existed.(more about my thoughts on charities in the coming days) The sad thing is that what brought it down was family differences. Paul Sr. took himself from the cellar to the penthouse and brought his children along for the ride. Expecting him to be a father and not a boss at the work site, Paul Jr would often do his own thing and expect no ramifications. That is not too surprising for there are people like that in every work environment. Eventually Jr got fed up with the bickering and left to start his own business. Now we have seen how much of an ingrate he has been to this point, but he shows his lack of appreciation for how his father has helped him out even more by not acknowledging the helping hand he has been given.

Both Mikey and Paul Jr have nice houses paid for by the money they earned while working with their father. Multiple custom made bikes from Orange County Choppers. Now they also have their faces out there and foots in the doors of any businesses due to being followed by cameras and also due to.....their father. Hopefully one day they will look back and realize that Sr wasn't responsible for all the disputes, remember the good times, and recognize their father as having given them a head start.

Sorry about the crude language

I feel a little better now despite the rubbish that our justice system continues to throw our way. A couple examples of the truth/facts not mattering. Vincent Bugliosi, author of Helter Skelter and DA who prosecuted the Manson friends has many books out, the previously mentioned, and Outrage, a book on the OJ Simpson case. In HS he concludes with the statement that justice was served. Now as time has gone on we have learned that a lot of the testimony was false. Donald Shea who was a murder victim, was said to have been beheaded and chopped into nine pieces. At the time of the trial his body had not been found and there was nothing but hearsay evidence. His body was lead to by the actual killer and dug up in one piece. On her death bed Susan Atkins revealed that Helter Skelter was not the motive of the murders and that the DA knew it but realized that it would look bad to change horses in mid stream as it were. Catherine Share on an MSNBC program also said there was no mention of Helter Skelter. Yet on another for the History channel she did. Anyway, in Outrage, Bugliosi writes of how our court system failed us. Out of the same courthouse Manson leaves in cuffs, OJ leaves a free man. Everyone to this day says OJ did it despite being declared not guilty. Yet another person to leave that courthouse a free "man" was Michael Jackson.

F Lee Bailey wrote a book back in the 70's called The Defense Never Rest. In this book he went over numerous cases of his. He recalled two in which the polygraph played a crucial role. In the first case he had to prove the validity of the lie detector test, and in the second disprove. After those cases in the early sixties results from those test are no longer admissible in court.

Regardless, taking an oath in court does not mean people will tell the truth. The truth is if you find an uninvited guest in your home (B&E if you prefer), not only should you have a right to shove a gun in their face, but also park a bullet in their head. After that they wouldn't be able to lie, connive, and self justify.
