The University of Missouri Football Team Took A Stand Against Bigotry...Sort Of

When I first caught wind of the Tigers wanting to boycott the game against byu I couldn't believe my ears. Then when I heard the reason I was quite underwhelmed. I was hoping that they were taking a stance against the new standings on children of gay parents not being able to be baptized into the lds organization of which byu is an extension of.  Many will say that it is a private institution and it is their right to set whatever bigoted rules they want. That is true, but it is also true that by other schools being willing to play teams from byu they are helping fund this hate machine. With 100 plus people involved with the football team I am sure there are at least a few people among them. It would be nice to be able to ask Michael Sam, a gay, black, former Mizz player, how he feels on the subject.

 Now these policies of the mormon organization are seeping into the secular world as seen by the actions of Judge scott johansen (a byu alum) in the case of Beckie Pierce and April Hoagland, a lesbian couple, and their foster child. So I ask the Missouri football team (as well as other schools and individuals) to make their stand against bigotry on both legs. In addition, please take a moment to visit the following link. A Tree That Continually Produces Rotten Fruit Needs To Be Uprooted

In Price UT, judge scott johansen ordered the removal of a baby that a gay couple had been taking care of for three months solely because they are gay. They are already doing a fine job raising the children of one of the mothers, and the natural birth mother even wants them to adopt the child. The couple is legally married and have already been approved as foster parents by the State of Utah after going through the background checks, home inspection, and interviewing process. It is only through the bigoted mind  produced by the worst "christian" denomination on the planet that such a decision could be reached.

 Straight or gay I don't know how anyone could want to be a member of such a false religion. I am starting to believe that the B in byu stands for Babylon, as in Babylon the Great. Just last week the lds church stated that children of gay parents could not be baptized into the church (Thank God!) until the age of eighteen and renouncing their parents lifestyle. Many people were upset and protested that they should be allowed. People, think! Count your blessings. The best way to protest is to leave the church. Sadly it will miss your tithing more than it will miss you. Stop funding the hate machine.

Utah Family Values (its not all bad news)

Sadly Utah ranks in the top ten in many negative statistics in the family values area, including suicide, prescription drug abuse, sexual violence against women, and just released this past Monday, #8 in child abuse and #1 in child sex abuse. As I mention though, it is not all bad news. In the same news segment that reported the awful child abuse numbers it was reported that alcohol sales in Utah are up while DUI's are down. Looks like the alcohol drinkers are the responsible ones! No irony here, just hypocrisy.

The Utah Utes Lost Theire First Game Of The 2015 Season

Could it be because the players were being coerced to go to non sanctioned lds classes at a public college instead of attending practices or studying USC film? Maybe the rest of the nation hasn't heard about it, but some of the Utah players have been complaining about losing playing time for not attending these non class classes. Its not part of the college but apparently connected to the coaching staff. Not much is being said about it. Surprise!

Are people the cause of climate change?

  As we all know there has been climate change throughout the history of this planet, but is this latest warm up caused by people? I believe it is, but not do to our lifestyles. I do not say this to justify my carbon footprint as it is smaller than my size 8 physical footprint. I feel it is due to over population. Now, many peole will say things to the effect of  "but there is only one person per square mile". What I mean is that the more people we have the less nature there is. More houses, asphalt and concrete, more industrial waste. We need the Air, Trees, and Water for the Animals (which humans are) to survive.

  Many people will say it is their God give right/responsibility to procreate, and according to the book of Genesis that is true, yet in the last book of the bible, Revelation, we are told that God will bring to ruin those ruining the earth. Now I'm not saying that nobody should be having children, but these people like the 19 Kids and Counting family really need to weigh this out. People that are spitting out children just to keep their churches in existence  (such as the LDS and FLDS) are ruining the earth. Pure hubris. Out here in the desert we are running out of water but not vacant eyed people. To the north and east our woodlands and wetlands are being encroached upon. In third world nations they cant even feed the children. All we need to do is scale back to 1976 world population levels and this planet will be able to start healing itself.

 Condoms people, condoms. Any kind of birth control. If sex were only for procreation God wouldn't have made it so pleasurable.
