Atral Walks

If you ever have the opportunity to take a walk out in the desert, mountains, woods, or on the beach, download Van Morrisons Astral Weeks onto your MP3 player and see things in a more mystical light.Happiness courses through your veins. The rest of the world, mans world, disappears. It is moments like this that would convert Darwin to creationism. All the senses come to life. The concept of evolution becomes not an argument of nature but a reality of mans buildings, cars, electrical lines and smog. This, our, evolutions pinnacle, creation! The thoughts, patterns, concepts are the missing link. Anyway, here are some more pictures of my backyard. (Click on a picture to see it and the other photos larger and in a slide format)

Just a few more; An Early Autumn Snow/Head In The Clouds

I only have titles for two/three of these. Linear continuity 1 & 2, and Life On Mars. If you click on the photos they will enlarge for your viewing pleasure.

Volkswagen: Was Ist Los?

I don't know if you have seen one of the new commercials from Volkswagen but it is highly disturbing. So much so that I don't even know what model the ad is for. It shows two guys going on a road trip. Instead of listening to music they pop in a language cd. I'm fine with that. after a thirteen hour drive they pull into a gas station, hop out of the car and begin to speak fluent...spanish? Ah that's right, the language of the great engineering country of Spain and the third world engineering juggernauts of the western hemisphere.

Well Volkswagen, in answer to the Was ist los question I say das ist schisse. Fire your ad agency and the people that approve such a campaign. Look to your roots. German is the language of top notch engineering. In fact, were it not for German engineering the allies would never have defeated Germany in WWII. Hows that for irony.

Prost!

KINI SURU NA

I woke up all smiles today, and not that I tried, but I just couldn't stop smiling. Sometimes you just have to put all your worries aside. Hence the title KINI SURU NA, don't worry about it, in Japanese. I put on LITTLE FEAT WAITING FOR COLUMBUS and my slip slops, what most people with the exception of Samuel Schroeder (the toddler from previous post) refer to as flip flops. Today they were sailing shoes. So in order I call these photos STEPPIN' ON THE BOULEVARD, THE BUTTERFIELD BLUES BAND SELLS OUT, I WISH I WERE IN DIXIE (this area is referred to as Dixie/the south of UT) MORE THAN A KODAK MOMENT, THIS IS HALLMARK, FARMERS MARKET BLUE/GRASS AND SUNSHINE, WHAT IF THEY HAD AN ENLISTMENT AND NOBODY CAME? (please, no don't ask don't tell jokes), THE CIRCUS IS ALWAYS IN TOWN, VINTAGE AMERICANA.

Is it just me or does this guy look like a slimmed down Steve Reynolds? I'll tell you all about him at a later date. For starters he sure could cook up some seriously nasty ribs

Seems Like Such A Long Time

But then again only yesterday. Four weeks ago was my last day at work with the deteriorating brick & mortar sector of Barnes & Noble. It seems as tho it was a year ago. At the same time back on the 15th I hit my 20 year mark on the stomping the daylights out of the tar addiction. Now that seems like only yesterday. Ask a shrink what that means. In those 20 years I have been here, there, and nowhere. In shape, out of shape, pariah, piranha. Now I just am...Smiling. Shorter of breath and one day closer to death. Its just nice to be back in the desert doing pushups with the lizards. I miss riding along the river, but I see a couple hills that I want to conquer. I am sure they will kill me at one point or another, but not on the first try. It is kind of like riding up Cheraw Drive in Saugus CA.

I cant wait to get settled in. My bike doesn't like being chauffeured around. Plus I am tired of driving around a loaded van.

In closing let me show you what I call FACE ROCK and EEL ROCK

Rock'n Me

Well I've been lookin real hard and I'm tryn ta find a job but it just keeps gettin tougher every day.

Well you know that its true. This is the hardest I've ever looked for a job. I would say 30 places in two weeks. For me that is a lot of effort. I have always thought that looking for a job is worse than having one no matter how bad your current job is. However this time looking is a better option than staying in the...I don't even have a word for it...how about this, arena of absurdity, that was/is the Barnes & Noble store I worked at. I see that since I left their stock has dropped.

Any who oo oo

So yeah, I have gotten NO responses. In my head I feel as tho all of these places have missed out. Even if it is a job I am inexperienced at or unable to do a company should hire me just for entertainment purposes. I can regale other workers with tales of adventure and stupidity. Could it be my scarred cranium that is scaring them off? Maybe they sense that I am too strong. Even the tentative job that inspired me to come down here didn't pan out. Having met with the guy on Monday and being told he would call me at the end of the week I have to say that I am disappointed not so much in not getting the job, but rather the lack of professionalism in not calling to tell me "So sorry Charlie". (I kind of knew I wouldn't get the job. Just too small of a market)

Maybe I should take professional sperm donor off of my resume'.

cinnanom rolls, barley wine, and blue cotton candy clouds

yes it is a good nite. thanks for asking.
sometime not all the time.
did darwin create evolution?
what did he say about the human eye?
i agree with him on a lot of points.
on others that remains to be seen.
time loves a hero.
Lowell George is a greater man than darwin!
That's my theory and I expect it to be taught in schools.
Lowell brings/brought smiles to more faces than darwood.
Now that's evolution, revolution. Hope its not too late for
change in America. Evolve into self reliance, not co dependence.
