I've been out fighting dragons with my friend Ted Kazinski
Shoveling dirt into the grave of deception
Jousting at windmills disguised as cell towers
Working like a dog thats humpimg a log
Getting paid splinters in uncomfortable places
Here is a thought that came to me last night. Noah got drunk and passed out naked and it was the one who looked down upon him who fell out of Gods graces.
I suppose it had to do with the "people" I am surrounded by. I had a conversation with a lady at work who told me she is a Mormon. I was shocked. I had been through this before when I found out some of my supervisors and co employees were, but this paired with a list of others through me for a loop. It seems that 75-80% are of the faith yet I would only have thought it of maybe 20. I suppose it is just a numbers game. I imagine the LDS church resembles Joseph Smith's concept of Mormonism as much as Catholicism reflects first century Christianity.
Sorry Madge,(and others who fight the good fight) but these people even give my tongue a run for the money. I do have a theory about this. The Mormons I have known in WA, AZ, and ID, were/are decent people, here not so much. Could it be that when on their own they know they are the representatives of their faith, where as here they feel that they can let their bishops take the lead and they just go along for the ride? No, my supervisor is a bishop and though he wont see a movie rated R what comes out of his mouth is NC17 at best. Any insight out there?
Oh well, its getting noisy here so I believe I will go to a wifi free space.
