Bionic Beer Bike

Just like Steve Austin this bike wasn't worth much at one time. In fact I bought it for $15.00. With a few alterations and modifications it is now a one of a kind priceless rarity. Some of you from Flagstaff may remember the Chimay monster, despite the smaller frame this bike dwarfs that. The front post sports a 1975 Thomas Hardy's label. The seat post is wrapped in a Koningshoven Quad label. All six of the Trappist ales that have labels are represented on this bike. I have the bottle caps of the Westvleteren that I plan on fusing into the reflectors at some point. The greatest beer nations are displayed here. Austria, Belgium, Germany, The Netherlands and the UK.

In addition to the afore mentioned 75 Thomas Hardy's, I also have one from the 80's, 90's and 2000's. Plus a '77 Traquair House. Well if you want a better look at the labels just click on the pictures and like an effervescent Duvel they will explode in your face.

Talk about going to hell in a bucket but enjoying the ride!

Russian River Brewery

One can say a lot about the beers from this brewery. To begin with they are mighty tasty. They rank up there with some of the worlds best, Belgians and Trappist included. A few things that set their beers apart are overrated, over priced, and inconsistent. Overrated; as I said these are tasty beers but due to limited production are hyped beyond reason. Over priced; I purchased a six pack of Westvleteren Trappist ales, probably the rarest beers in the world for a lower price than a six pack of Angels Share would be. Inconsistent; The first time I had Russian Rivers Damnation ale I was quite impressed. It was a second cousin to an Orval. The next time I had it it was grainy and lacking in flavor and aroma.

If anyone who reads this knows any of the Russian River brew crew tell them to get off their high horses. Your beers are good but your arrogant attitude/brewing strategy has lost this customer and I will encourage others to do so.

I think I'll open a Gouden Emperor now. There is quality, consistency, and integrity in a bottle twice the size for only 75% of the price!
